Sarah Murphy is a Family and Integrative Physician in Sonoma County. She was born and raised in Alaska, and from a young age spent many long winter nights on various craft projects. This sparked a lifelong joy in creating art. She has a deep affinity to nature and recently became certified as a Nature as Medicine Practitioner. Forest as Medicine invites us to slow down, reconnect us with the natural world, and deepen our sense of belonging within the larger cycles of nature. In addition to clinical medicine, you can find her on the SSU campus, leading groups of students and staff on Forest Immersion experiences.
She brings her love of the natural world to a winter solstice themed MAPS workshop. Using simple materials, we will create wooden star lanterns and decoupage candle holders to light up your home during the darkest season of the year.
