Macramé with Jessicca Jarrett FNP

  • Irwindale Art Collective 1150 Irwin Lane Santa Rosa, California, 95401 United States (map)

Jesicca Jarrett is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Petaluma Health Center with a soft spot for fiber arts of all kinds. In this workshop, we'll explore the art of macramé—or, as we're calling it for this crowd, "mapscramé."

Starting with just a few simple knots, you'll discover how they can be combined into beautiful, functional fiber art. Macramé is approachable, versatile, forgiving, and surprisingly meditative—a chance to slow down, create something tangible, and enjoy the process.

You'll learn the foundational knots and leave with a finished plant hanger—perfect for your own space or as a handmade gift for someone who could use a little plant-and-fiber-art love. No experience is necessary. Follow the pattern or use the basic techniques to create something uniquely your own.

Macramé creations in progress from the workshop Jessicca led for us at the MAPS retreat 2025.
